Skink No Surrender

This new book I recently just started reading is called " Skink No Surrender." The genre of the book is mystery. The book has many parts in where there a lot of suspense. Also the main charcter is a boy named Richard. Richard is a teen and h enjoys to spend time with his friends and cousins.
One day Richard was gonna spend time with his cousin at the beach so they could scout for turtle nest. Before that his mother told him to be very careful because they may be some people who are not so nice. Richard was expecting his cousin their but he never showed up. He started to hear so breathing noises. He thought those noises where from his cousin just playing around with him. But he waited for his cousin to come out from where ever he was hiding but he never did. That's when Richard realized that it was someone else and not his cousin. In the book in page 3 it says " Approaching the turtles nest again, I put down the Easton and cupped my ears to muffle the sound of the waves. The mysterious breathing seemed to be coming from inside the rectangle of pink ribbons."  This part of the book is describing what Richard went to the beach to do and also it's showed what he was hearing. It talked about the breathing that was behind the bushes. This is a aha moment because it remind me when my mom also had told me the right thing to do but I didn't listen to her just like in the book.

Compare and Contarst

I'm going to compare and contrast two books I've finish this quarter .The first book is going to be Bystander by James Perrel and the other book is The Absoutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian by Sherman Alexie . The two books have some similarities and differences. I personally enjoyed this two books because of the plot and the conflicts. Also I can sort of relate to them which the book a lot more interesting.
Some similarities that they both have is there both have the same genres which is Teen Fiction. This means that they both have topics about teens and the conflict that an average teen which face. In Bystander the conflict was that the main charcter needed to adapt to his new school in his new neighborhood. In the Absoutely True Diary he also need to adapt to the American high school and the new subjects of the school. The two main charcters in the books are similar because they are both very I courage to make new friends. They try there best to fit in with the other kids.
The difference between the is that the book bystander the conflict that the main character is already us to the America schools, how they work. But im the other book the main character he has new been in American schools only in a school of native Americans which he said was completely different.

The Absoulte True Diary of a Part-Time Indian Blog

The book I'm reading is called "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian." This book is about an boy named Junior who is Native American. He was different because he had many medical problems for example he had surgery when he was six months old. Junior is entering a new school were there is no Native American . The school is all white kids and he is very new to that. His main problem is fitting into the new system of the new school.
Junior is going to have not only with new friends but also with new subjects and teachers. The teacher  was a big problem for Junior because that when he first go introuble in school . The teacher name was Mr.P he was a elderly and that was junior sister teacher too. Mr.P thought he was almost the same as his sister. Junior sister was shy and would never really talk during class. But Junior way different. In the book it says " And let me tell you, Mr.p. Is weird looking dude. But no matter how weird he looks, the absolutely weirdest thing about Mr. P is that sometimes he forgets to come to school." This is showing that he has to get comfortable with the teachers because they are different that what he has witness or imaged.
