Compare and Contrast

The two books I'm comparing and contrasting is Code of Honor and Steve Nash biography. I will compare and contrast the main character of the book. In Code of Honor the main character is Kamran Smith who is a teenager in high school and he is describe differently after some events happen with his brother. Kamran is a special teenager because he is the best in the football team and he also is dating the most popular girl in the school. But everything starts th change once his brother caused a huge catastrophe. Kamran throughout the book is trying to figure out the main reason for his brothers action and his also trying to regain everything he lost. In the Steve Nash biography it talks about his life and challenges he faced. For example Steve was always told by his coach that he was not good enough to make it into the NBA. Steve was very motivated to get far in basketball and make to the pros. He didn't really care what others were saying about him.
The similarities are that they both had changes in there life's that they had to faced. For example Kamran in Code of Honor had to face a Challege of making respectful how they use too. Kamran through out the book he tried to get back what he lost like for example he lost he girlfriend and his some friends. In the Steve Nash biography he had to face was proving people wrong that he will go the NBA. Throughout Nash's life he worked very had to prove his coach and his haters wrong.

The Maze Runner

The book I just recently started reading is call The Maze Runner by James Dashner. This book so far is getting interesting from what I've read. It's started off with Thomas in some sort of metal room. We    don't learn Thomas name until a little bit into the book. Thomas realizes that the only thing he remembers in life is his first name. Thomas knew that something was really stable that he wouldn't remember other important things. Back to the metal room Thomas realizes that it may be an elevator that his in. But he also feels like it may be something worse.
Some predictions I have for later in the book is that Thomas is going to find someone or something that may have erased his memory. I think this because Thomas is going to remember something and his going want to remember more things. He going to realize that there shave to be a way for his to lose his memory all of sudden. Also maybe Thomas will team up with some other people and work together to figure out who earned Thomas's memory. Another prediction is that the person who has Thomas captured will put him in an maze and if he escapes the maze he is free or they give his memory back

Code of Honor

The book I am currently reading is called Code of Honor by Alan Gratz. This is about a kid named Kamran Smith who is the most popular kid in school. This is because he is dating the most popular girl and is the star of his football team. Kamran can't wait to join the army just like his older brother Darius. There mom is from Iran but Kamran has always felt 100% American. Kamran was always looking at to Darius as a good role model. Many people at Kamran school know his brother Darius and had also seen him as a good person.
Darius was in The United States Military Academy and "He's in Afghanistan right now with the Thrid Ranger Battalion Speacial Ops, protecting your butt from terrorists." Then, suddenly Kamran mom "grabbed the steering wheel so hard I thought it was going to snap off in her hands." Kamran ask his mom what had happen and she said "It's Darius." There was an attach in the US embassy in Trukey and there was someone who looks like Darius. Darius was in the attack and many people believed that I was him who caused it. Because of what happen every thing started to change at school for Kamran. What I mean is his girlfriend the most popular girl in school was not talking to him and she said "Please don't call me anymore for a little while." Kamran is still curious on what had happen in the embassy and why his girlfriend had broken up with him.

Biography Blog (Steve Nash)

My biography book is just recently finished was called "Steve Nash Leader On and Off The Court." This book is about the basketball career of Steve Nash and his life outside of basketball. Steve was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in Feburary 7, 1974. He lived most of his life in Vancouver, Canada. Steve Nash was a very little kid with very big dreams. Throughout most of his life Steve was very postive about him self that he will make it far in basketball. He always said to himself that he will make the NBA and go to college to play basketball.
Steve Nash has always been a good role model to other younger kids look up too. He is a good role model because of his chemistry with his teammates and when he shows apperacte to the fans. In the book it says in page 44 " Whetever the fans like me or not is totally irrelevant at this point," Nash added. "My number one concern is the team . The fans have to be secondary . If the fans have give up on me, that's fine." This shows many things because about his fans and his team but he still cares about the fans,

Skink No Surrender

This new book I recently just started reading is called " Skink No Surrender." The genre of the book is mystery. The book has many parts in where there a lot of suspense. Also the main charcter is a boy named Richard. Richard is a teen and h enjoys to spend time with his friends and cousins.
One day Richard was gonna spend time with his cousin at the beach so they could scout for turtle nest. Before that his mother told him to be very careful because they may be some people who are not so nice. Richard was expecting his cousin their but he never showed up. He started to hear so breathing noises. He thought those noises where from his cousin just playing around with him. But he waited for his cousin to come out from where ever he was hiding but he never did. That's when Richard realized that it was someone else and not his cousin. In the book in page 3 it says " Approaching the turtles nest again, I put down the Easton and cupped my ears to muffle the sound of the waves. The mysterious breathing seemed to be coming from inside the rectangle of pink ribbons."  This part of the book is describing what Richard went to the beach to do and also it's showed what he was hearing. It talked about the breathing that was behind the bushes. This is a aha moment because it remind me when my mom also had told me the right thing to do but I didn't listen to her just like in the book.

Compare and Contarst

I'm going to compare and contrast two books I've finish this quarter .The first book is going to be Bystander by James Perrel and the other book is The Absoutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian by Sherman Alexie . The two books have some similarities and differences. I personally enjoyed this two books because of the plot and the conflicts. Also I can sort of relate to them which the book a lot more interesting.
Some similarities that they both have is there both have the same genres which is Teen Fiction. This means that they both have topics about teens and the conflict that an average teen which face. In Bystander the conflict was that the main charcter needed to adapt to his new school in his new neighborhood. In the Absoutely True Diary he also need to adapt to the American high school and the new subjects of the school. The two main charcters in the books are similar because they are both very I courage to make new friends. They try there best to fit in with the other kids.
The difference between the is that the book bystander the conflict that the main character is already us to the America schools, how they work. But im the other book the main character he has new been in American schools only in a school of native Americans which he said was completely different.
