                                                       Teen Highschool Dropout
A problem that impacts teens in the US is dropping out of High school and making their own decisions that will affect them in the future. This is hurting teens in their future because they will not have has much opportunities as others who stay in school. Opportunities like for example not having great job that benefits them. People go to school to get educated so they will have a good job in the future that helps out
.     Teens felt like that they're old enough to make their own decisions because they're getting older. What they don't know is that you have to think about what you are doing. Also, they have to think about the consequences that may happen. Teens should talk with adults (parents, friends, etc) because they can give you advice that may benefit your choices. For example teens dropping out of high school are not thinking what effects they may cause. It's like they don't have a brain to think about what they about to do in their life.
Research reveals that about every year about 1.3 millions students drop out of High school
in the United States Of America. That is about 1/3 of our population. Also the research has showed  that 60% of students graduate High school but the other 30% are dropouts that don't continue school.
Many teens in HMS were taken a survey about 1. What they though we the reason for teen dropouts, 2. What age is right for teens to make their own decisions in life, and 3. How do think it affect the teens in there future for dropout. The outcome of the results were surprising and kinda expected because many teens said the right answer or the answer that was expected. Research revealed that for the first question 25% of teens said drug use, 18% said teen pregnancy. For the second question 44% said 18 years old, 33% said 19 years old, and 22% said 21 years old. Finally for the last question 44% said Jobs Not Beneficial, 22% said Money Wise, 22% said Knowledge Wise, and  11% said Diploma.
After All, the search has shown that teens are aware of the consequences and what to do when making their own decisions in life. This Is a positive thing because maybe the percent of teens in the USA may decrease per year.

                                                        Curious And Shocked
It was the around the time of end of 6th grade (When). We had a principal who was a female and her name was Ms. LaSalle. Ms LaSalle was a kind person but she can get in a furious mood when kids are not doing the right thing. She was the principal of HMS. Kids go to school everyday and then suddenly kids were just asking about Ms Lasalle. Kids would see her everyday, she would welcome kids that entered the building. Suddenly, it was Mr. Bogart who was welcoming kids everyday. Kids where talking about what my have happened to Ms Lasalle. Rumors began to happened and others were believing them.
After A month, the school sent out a letter to the kids families informing that the Principal was fired but they didn't explain why. That made the families and the kids more curios on why she was  fired. All the staff and teachers in HMS were very quiet about the incident and would not talk about it. Families would ask questions to the teachers but the teachers would not answer.

Kids waited and waited for answer and they finally got them in 7th grade. What actually happened was Ms Lasalle stole money from the school and got fired. Everybody was shocked that she would do that because she look very innocent. Kids were not happy with what she did because that money was going to help the school out and now it's all gone. After that HMS was in the Berwyn news for the incident that had happened. After, that people learned that it doesn't matter how someone talks to others it just how there mood is inside. From that day until currently people still talk about
the crazy moment when a Principal got fired for stealing money.

                                             Not Listening To Others
It's was a chill day in the fall and it was the day of conference basketball tryouts. People have been talking about this day since the first day of school. I could hear every one saying "I know I'm going to make the team."  I have been practicing the whole summer because I wanted to get better and prove people wrong.

My goal was to make the team that is why I was practicing every day during the summer. The tryouts were after school in the gym and during school people were coming up to me saying, "You're not going to make it."  I knew not to respond to them, so I just ignored them. Also, when people were saying, "You suck at basketball. " Why are you even going to try out?"All day I was thinking to myself I'm going to prove people wrong.

It was finally time for the basketball tryouts, and I was nervous and scared because what if people are still going to be making fun of me. If I didn't make team I wouldn't be delighted but at least I tried my hardest. There were twelve spots for the team and I knew that 6 spots were going to be already taken all ready because there's kids who are really good. During the tryouts, we did some drills and finally we did a three versus three. I knew kids were just looking at me because of how surprised they were. Then suddenly I heard "That kid is trash, I doubt he's going to make it." I didn't feel healthy, but I knew not to listen to them and just try my best. The tryouts felt so short that I still wanted to keep on playing. We just have to wait until the next day so we can find out if everything paid off.

It was the next day and every morning we would go to the gym before we started school.  The list of the kids who made the team who made it would be on the wall that's outside of the gymnasiums doors I was very nervous and very curios because I wanted to know if I made the team.  I went to the wall were the list was I was going through the list and in the middle of the list it said "Marco Dominguez." I was very joyful; I felt like I won the one million dollar lottery!
Then, I opened the gym doors where there were a million of voices. Kids were running up to me congratulating me. The kids who ran up to me were acting like if I was a famous singer and there were trying to get my autograph. Those kids were the kids who running up to me were also the kids who were talking bad about me. I felt bad for them because their name were not in the teams list. I felt really happy and after that all of this conflict happened I learned that to not listen to others if they're judging you. You will succeed if you stick your and u work for it really hard.
